In terms of research, the Centre has recognised expertise in the field of Biostatistics and more broadly in the field of health data. As far as Biostatistics is concerned, the Centre's objective is to develop and propose statistical and methodological methods that meet the objectives of the research projects for which the Centre is a sponsor or partner. The B-STAT Centre also has recognised expertise in the development of customised web applications (screening programmes, medical studies, online questionnaires, etc.) and in database management. The Centre handles all stages of development from needs analysis to the final product and its maintenance. Special expertise is also offered in the field of nutritional epidemiology.

  • Management of the breast cancer screening programme in the Walloon Region (MammoRIAS) since 2006
  • Management of the Belgian National LDC Data Registration System (BELRAP) since 2009
  • Coordination and management of the SARSSUV study - Anti-SARS-CoV-2 seroprevalence study (COVID-19) at the University of Liege
  • Online food questionnaire for researchers and health professionals in Belgium, France and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg
  • Online survey to evaluate the perception and understanding of the different nutritional logos present in our food stores (NUTRILOGO)
  • Randomised multicentre study evaluating the impact of pre-hospital diagnosis (TICCS) of active bleeding in polytrauma patients (STTTOPPP the Bleeding)
  • Study for the implementation of an ultrasonic screening of abdominal aortic aneurysm in the Liège region (DEPISTA³)
  • Participation in the "European Nutritional Phenotype Assessment and Data Sharing Initiative - ENPADASI" project 2014-2017
  • Health survey of the Province of Liège.
