Objectives and types of support

B-STAT helps researchers and clinicians with the realisation of their medical studies, from the setting-up until the achievement of their projects by providing methodological and statistical support.

For many years, different areas of expertise have been developed through collaborations with researchers in the medical fields, clinicians, public health institutions and pharmaceutical firms.

More precisely, the statistical consulting services of B-STAT consists in supporting researchers with

• The redaction of a research protocol (development of the survey questionnaire, sample size calculation, writing a statistical analysis plan, ...)
• The preparation of documents to submit to ethic committees
• The production of randomisation lists
• The statistical analysis of collected data
• The presentation/publication of the results

The team has a large expertise in statistical software. The most commonly used are SAS, R, PASS, G*Power, JMP.
